Get the numbers writers, translators, and lawyers actually need: total words, characters with and without spaces, page count, and an estimated reading time at 238 words per minute. A per-page table shows where the text is concentrated.

The count is based on the PDF text layer, so scanned documents will report zero words until they are run through OCR. Numbers come straight from your file in your browser — useful when you need a quick, honest count without emailing a confidential document to a web service.
