Design Assumptions and Limitations
Design Assumptions and Limitations Closed Flume Inlets are designed for use with Type F curb and gutter only. Locate inlets outside of curb ramp areas. Single Barrel Flumes are intended for locations with light to moderate flows.
Use Multiple Barrel Flumes for design heavy flows. The 2’0” slope on the back of the slab is intended to eliminate the need for handrail/ guiderail.

Specify the Flume type, Flume Length and number of barrels. Specify when energy dissipating bricks are required. Cost of the 4” Concrete slab and 6”x6” W2.5xW2.5 Min. Welded Wire Reinforcement (Sheet 3) included in cost of Inlet.
