Design Assumptions and Limitations Do not use Index 400-021 for suspended (structural) steps or stairways. Maximum of 12 risers permitted between level landing areas. Use of Indexes 515-052 , 515-062 , 515-070 , 515-080 or project specific pedestrian railings is required.
